Sif is the wife of the Norse Storm God Thor, she is described to be the loveliest of women and has long and beautiful golden hair, her hair is also the reason behind the creation of Thor’s hammer, Odin’s spear, and Freyr’s golden boar. Sif’s presence in Nordic references is slim, besides the story of Thor’s hammer she mostly remains a side character, however, the modern interpretation of Sif often combines her image with the battle prowess of a Valkyrie, giving her more characteristics besides being Thor’s wife.
