Khonsu is the Egyptian god of the moon and time, similar to Thoth. Khonsu Influence the fertility of both the people and their livestock and the creation of the universe. Khonsu was often depicted as a young mummiform man in the posture of a mummy, generally wears the sidelock of youth, the curved beard of the gods and carries a crook and flail in his hands. Khonsu could also be depicted as a man with a falcon head, but unlike Horus he is topped by a lunar and not a solar symbol. He was revered as a god of healing and was thought to extend his protection to the common people.
